EXHIBITIONS
Lynn’s last public exhibition of her work was at the Art Expo Nelson 2015 which ran over Labour weekend for 3 days, Saturday 24th to Monday 26th October at Saxton Stadium here in Nelson.
The largest Art Show in the top of the South Island, it saw work by artists from all over New Zealand exhibited in the one place for 3 very busy days.
Lynn had a successful show, selling several pieces to buyers from the lower North Island, Marlborough and Nelson/Tasman.
Previously Lynn had a very well received exhibition in December 2014 at Fibre Spectrum in Trafalgar Street, Nelson City.
Called “Fusing Encaustic Styles” it encompassed the wide range of pieces Lynn is now producing with many demonstrating the way she has “fused” the distinctly different “European” and “North American” styles of working in encaustic.
OTHER NEWS
Nelson Arts Guide Great news for Lynn at the launch of the 20th Anniversary edition of the Nelson Arts Guide! Held at the well known WOW Museum, it was a case of “G”ee Whizz ….. as Lynn discovered her letter “G” had been chosen as the one to go on the cover of this prestigious magazine.
All the artists in the book were allocated a letter (to spell Nelson Arts Guide) to do in their art form and nobody knew what had been selected until the book was revealed on the night!
